Foni Bhushan Chowdhury, a member of Public Service Commission (PSC), died of cancer yesterday afternoon, aged 62.

He was undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The body of Foni Bhushan, also a former police coordinator and a former secretary, will be taken to Dhakeshwari Temple around 9:30am today and then to Rajarbagh Police Lines around 12:00pm. In the evening, the body will be taken to his village home Chhatak upazila of Sunamganj for cremation, which is expected to take place tomorrow, according to Dhaka Metropolitan Police website.

Born in an educated family, Foni Bhushan graduated in physics from Chittagong University in 1975 and later obtained a law degree from Dhaka University in 1984.
