Baby Shark Dance: Most-viewed YouTube video according to Guinness Records
Popular children's tune, "Baby Shark Dance" has made it to the Guinness World Records as the most-viewed YouTube video of all time.
The catchy singalong by Pinkfong of Republic of Korea was first uploaded in 2016 and reached the milestone of 10 billion views on January 13.
However, Guinness World Records declared yesterday that it became the first music video ever to roll into the 10 billion club.
Luis Fonsi's Despacito, featuring Daddy Yankee, currently trails behind in the second spot.
According to The Guardian, in the five years since 'Baby Shark' was released, it's still unclear about who the original writer of the track is.
The song was a nursery rhyme long before it was recorded by 10-year-old Korean-American singer Hope Segoine for the 2016 song.
The track itself is in the public domain, but it became famous when it was released by educational company Pinkfong. It first went viral in south-east Asia, before spreading to the rest of the world.
