Two Jamaat leaders held
Two Jamaat leaders were arrested in Chapainawabganj and Dinajpur districts yesterday.
Detective Branch police arrested a local Jamaat leader and councilor of Chapainawabganj municipality yesterday morning, reports our correspondent.
The arrestee was identified as, Topu Biswas, 11 No. municipal ward councilor.
Topu Biswas was accused in several cases on charge of attacking law enforcers, police said.
In Dinajpur, police arrested a Jamaat leader in Khansama upazila yesterday.
Identified as Md. Kari Abdul Kadir Siraji, the arrestee was former Ameer of Khansama upazila Jamaat and UP Chairman of Bherbheri union of the upazila, reports our correspondent.
Police said, they arrested him from Bherbheri Bazaar on charge of attacking police and vandalism.
