Thirty-five-year old Khokon (full name was not known immediately) was coming towards Dhaka from Rangpur after loading his truck with goods, reported our Bogra correspondent quoting Nazir Ahmed Khan, assistant superintendent of police (ASP) in Bogra.

When his truck reached near Baropur area of the town around 5:00am, pickets hurled several bricks on him and one of the bricks hit him, leaving him critically injured, the ASP said.

Locals with the help of police rescued Khokon.

He succumbed to his injuries on way to Bogra Shaheed Zia Medical College Hospital, the police official added.
