A flight instructor and a trainee pilot escaped serious injuries after their aircraft crash landed and flipped upside down after a training flight at Shah Makhdum Airport in Rajshahi yesterday.
Captain Farjana Haque, 37, and the trainee Anjumand Ara, 30, sustained minor injuries to the head and neck, and are out of danger, said doctors at Islami Bank Medical College and Hospital, where the duo were treated.
The two-seater Cessna 152 of Bangladesh Flying Academy skidded off the runway during landing around 4:24pm, confirmed the airport's Manager Setafur Rahman.
Air accident investigators were looking into whether a technical fault or pilot error was to blame, he said.
