Tiger clubbed to death

A 'man-eating' tiger was killed by villagers yesterday at Nalbunia village of Swaronkhola upazila of Bagerhat district after it attacked three villagers.

Sources at the Sunderbans Forest Division (eastern wing) said hundreds of villagers chased and clubbed the seven-foot-long tiger to death after it entered the village at about 5am yesterday and attacked three people leaving them seriously injured.

The three victims were taken to the Bagerhat Sadar Hospital in critical condition.
