Seven killed in Mexican bar shooting
A gunman opened fire in a bar in northern Mexico on Thursday, killing seven people and wounding two others in the latest burst of violence in the country, prosecutors said.
The shooter walked alone into the Mogavi bar in the city of Chihuahua -- capital of the state with the same name -- and began shooting without saying a word, the prosecutor's office said. Three of the victims were waitresses.
The killer fled in a vehicle driven by another man.
Mexico has seen several bar shootings during the wave of drug-related violence that has left more than 70,000 people dead across the nation since 2006.
The last reported bar attack took place on March 15 when armed men killed seven people in a blue-collar neighborhood of the beach resort of Cancun.
