RU BCL man assaults student over trifle

A group of Bangladesh Chhatra League activists of Motihar Hall unit of Rajshahi University severely beat up a student on Thursday evening over a trifling matter.
RK Shamim, a student of mass communication and journalism and trainee university reporter, was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital with bruises in the left arm and back.
The victim said Aronno Kumar, a student of Islamic history, and three other BCL activists clobbered him with sticks, as he used Aronno's towel impulsively. Aronno, however, said Shamim was beaten for "his misconduct".
Contacted, the hall unit BCL President Asaduzzaman said he would take organisational action against Aronno after talking to senior leaders.
