Robbers kill expat's wife

Robbers looted valuables from an expatriate's house killing a woman at Mollikpur in the district town early yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Rupia Begum, wife of Fazar Ali, an expatriate in the UK.
Victim's family members said, armed robbers stormed into the house of Fazar at about 1:45 am. The gang took the family members hostage at gunpoint and looted cash, gold ornaments and other valuables from the house.
As Rupia tried to resist the robbers, the gang members stabbed her with sharp weapons indiscriminately, leaving her dead on the spot.
Hearing the scream of the family members, locals rushed in but they could not catch the robbers.
