Resignation letter on cake!
Airport worker Chris Holmes made a bold decision to pursue his dreams—and he wrote all about it, in frosting, in a resignation letter on top of a cake.
Holmes’ brother-in-law posted a picture of the cake to his Twitter account. The message reads:
“Today is my 31st birthday, and having recently become a father I now realize how precious life is and how important it is to spend my time doing something that makes me, and other people, happy.
“For that reason, I hereby give notice of my resignation, in order that I may devote my time and energy to my family, and to my cake business which has grown steadily over the past few years.
“I wish the organisation and my colleagues the best for the future and I remind you that, if you enjoy this cake, you can order more at www.mrcake.co.uk”
Holmes had worked at the Border Force as an immigration officer for the past four years.
The picture of the cake resignation letter has gone viral since first being posted on Monday. For his part, Holmes says he has been "overwhelmed by the positive response" from the public.
