Rape case recorded finally

Police have finally recorded the case filed by the father of a gang-raped victim of Baro Kamlabari village in Aditmari upazila of the district.
However, the accused remained out of police dragnet.
The case was filed with Aditmari Police Station on September 5, but police recorded the case yesterday.
The accused in the case are Rezaul Islam, 25, Fazar Ali, 23, Habibur Rahman, 24, of the village under Aditmari upazila, and Alamgir Hossain, 26, Ashraful Islam, 23, and Ashiqur Rahman, 24, of Nilphamari district.
The victim, a class seven student of a local madrasa, fell in love with Ashiqur Rahman, who works at a bridge construction site at the village.
Ashiqur Rahman with the help of five others took the girl to a hotel in the capital on September 1. She was gang raped by the six for three days and sent back home at Kamlabari village on the night of September 4.
Family took the madrasha girl to Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital the same night and her medical test was done yesterday, said Dr Nabiur Rahman, resident medical officer of the hospital.
Contacted, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Aslam Iqbal of Aditmari Police Station said they recorded the case after getting medical test and investigation reports. Police have launched a drive to arrest the accused, the OC added.
