Prosecution seeks security for Alim

Prosecution on Wednesday sought security for former BNP lawmaker Abdul Alim, who is facing war crimes charges.

Prosecutor Rana Das Gupta submitted a petition before the International Crimes Tribunal-2 in this regard today.

In his petition, Rana said bdnews24.com and amadershomoy.com recently posted a link, which claimed that Alim would come under attack as part of a plot to foil the war crimes trial.

So, the prosecution sought the tribunal's order for ensuring security of Alim, particularly when he go to tribunal or return home.

The court fixed Thursday for passing an order on the petition.

The court on Wednesday recoded deposition of the 15th witness in the war crimes case filed against Alim.
