Problems of objective journalism
The main principle of journalism is to provide people of a society with accurate, reliable and unbiased information. As journalists are human beings and it is hard for humans to be 'objective', the very idea of 'objective journalism' is practically a chimera. What is to be followed as journalistic principle is to maintain an objective process while reporting events and delivering opinions. Of course, it becomes sometimes difficult on the part of a journalist to strictly adhere to the principles of objectivity. Right to information is often denied, while information gatherers remain unprotected. Moreover, there is the risk of losing job. In my opinion, the brighter side of an event should be projected. Such projection influences people positively.
