'Parties should follow their manifestos'
Those who want to change the government through street movements are pushing the country for an ad hoc arrangement in state power, said Jatiya Party Chairman Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, reports UNB.
"There is a system laid down in the Constitution for forming and changing government," he said and called upon the political parties to adopt a politics befitting an independent country.
Addressing an iftar party, hosted by their faction of Jatiya Party (Mizan-Manju) for journalists, Mizan Chowdhury said that the political parties should come before the people with their respective political manifesto following a constitutional path.
"If a government is pulled down, then the same would happen to the next government that is formed," said the politician.
Communications Minister and JP (Mizan-Manju) Secretary General Anwar Hossain Manju said people should have the right to exercise their voting rights.
