Padatik's monsoon melodies

Rabindranath Tagore had a special corner for the monsoon; many of his works feature the abundant natural beauty of the season, the romanticism and the serenity. Theatre troupe Padatik celebrates the rainy season this year with Tagore songs and poetry today, at the Music and Dance Centre of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
Noted artistes Nargis Chowdhury and Abdul Wadud will offer musical performances at the event, while elocutionists Laila Afroze and Rashed Hassan will recite Tagore poems on monsoon.
The programme begins at 7:15pm.
