A member of outlawed Janajuddho, a faction of Purbo Banglar Communist Party (PBCP-ML), was stabbed dead by rivals in Gangni upazila of Meherpur early Saturday, police said.
Deceased Nizam Uddin, 50, of Koshba village in the upazila was accused in several cases including two murder charges reported our Kushtia correspondent quoting Masudul Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Gangni Police Station.
The criminals belonging to another outlawed party stabbed Nizam to dead around 12:00am while he was asleep at a hut on the bank of a pond, the OC said.

Police recovered the body Saturday morning and sent it to Meherpur General Hospital for autopsy.
