c01Dr Rafiquddin Ahmad, international technocrat and eminent educationist, died of old age complications at Apollo Hospitals in the capital on Friday. He was 81.
He was the founder chairman of Bangladesh Engineering and Shipbuilding Corporation, and ICTVTR (now, IUT, Gazipur) and a teacher of BUET.
He also played key role in establishing Eastern Cables.
He left behind his wife, three sons, and two daughters.
His qulkhwani will be held on September 20 after Asr prayers in his residence at Baridhara.
