No teacher for ICT in colleges!
From this academic year which commenced in last July, students of higher secondary level are taking Information and Communication Technology as a compulsory subject. Surprisingly, the authorities have not created any post in the government colleges or appointed any teacher through PSC. This is an instance of putting the cart before the horse. At present the subject is taught by “guest teachers” who are employed by the college principals on a temporary basis. As a compulsory subject, ICT should be given due priority like other subjects.
We hope the government will look into the matter.
