The final round of the Konia Channel i Shera Konthho's latest edition was held this Wednesday at Bangabandhu International Conference Center. This year's crown for the best voice went to Chittagong's Brishty Mutsuddi. The podium for first runner up was shared by Shaheen Khan and Manish Sarker, while Onnya Akhter was chosen as the second runner up.
The winners received Taka 5 lakh, Taka 3 lakh and Taka 2 lakh respectively as prizes, along with gifts from AST Beverage Limited and Channel i, benefits awarded by Impress Audio Limited, and the chance to participate in many Channel i shows.
The gala kicked off with Shera Konthho artistes and Khude Gaanraj stars coming on stage with candles, accompanied by several dancers.
Konal, the host of the show, then came on stage and asked the judges Syed Abdul Hadi, Sabina Yasmin and Kumar Bishwajit to step onto the stage.
Their arrival was followed by singing performances by Shera Kontho and Khude Gaanraj singers, who were accompanied by an ensemble of dhol, harmonium, flute, ektara and dotara artistes, led by Mukta Baul. Rezwana Chowdhury Bonna also performed a song, accompanied by a dance by film star Emon and actress Kushum Shikdar.
The performances were followed by speeches by Channel i Managing Director Faridur Reza Sagar and AST Beverage Limited Chairman Harunur Rashid.
Ten more songs soon followed, performed by 10 Shera Konthho contestants. Later it was Meher Afroze Shaon's turn to entertain the crowd with a song.
The programme concluded with the suspense of the winner's name being announced. As soon as the winner was named, the crowd broke into applause, welcoming the new singing starlets to a busy scene.
