Navy seizes goods worth Tk 22 lakh in Chittagong

CHITTAGONG, Jan 12: Bangladesh Navy ship Shahjalal during an anti-smuggling, anti-piracy and fishery protection patrol seized smuggled goods and two mechanised boats and held its four member crew recently, reports BSS.

The value of the recovered goods along with two boats is worth about Tk. 22 lakh, an ISPR release said today.

In another drive BNS Shahjalal recovered miscellaneous stolen items along with a mechanised boat and apprehended its four member crew.

The stolen goods, mechanised boats and the crew were later handed over to the appropriate authorities for legal action, the release added.
