It is ridiculous that we, as a nation, love to blame ourselves and our identity. Whenever an accident takes place, we simply label it on our fate by saying that it was meant to happen because we are Bangladeshis. But is it really our identities fault or is it the other way around? Bangladesh has gone through a lot in recent times. But no one really takes note of it. Everyone has their own opinions and are sticking by it. It almost seems like a long lasting dream, where we simply assume that everything will be alright without actually working for it. Just as Rip Van Winkle, we want to sleep and wake up to a newly reformed state. It is time to wake up from that dream. Many lives have gone and many more will if we do not rectify our methods and thoughts.
