Khaleda leaves for KSA today to perform Umrah
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is scheduled to leave Dhaka for Saudi Arabia today to perform Umrah.
"The chairperson will leave the capital for Mecca at 7:10pm," said her Press Secretary Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel.
She will stay there for about 10 days of Ramadan, he said, adding that the former prime minister is expected to return home on August 6.
The BNP chief will stay in Saudi Arabia as a royal guest just like every year, Sohel said.
During the visit, Khaleda will be accompanied by several others including her younger brother Shamim Eskander and his wife, said a source at the BNP chairperson's Gulshan office.
