JUTA polls Feb 9

Election of a 15-member executive body of Jahangirnagar University Teachers' Association (JUTA) will be held on February 9.

The election commission will publish the voters' list on January 31. The last date for submitting nomination papers is February 3 when the commission will also scrutinise those. The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is February 5.

The election commission will publish the final list of the candidates on the same day.

The election will be held at the University Teachers-Officers' Club from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Some 250 teachers are likely to cast their votes in the upcoming JUTA election to elect a president, a vice-president, a treasurer, a general secretary, a joint-secretary and 10 general members.
