English moved into the quarterfinals with a six-wicket victory over Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) in the inter-department cricket tournament of Jahangirnagar University at the central playground yesterday.

Winning the toss, ECS scored 111 for eight wickets in the stipulated 25 overs. Shaikat was their highest contributor with 18 runs.

Dipak, Fahim and Subrata grabbed two wickets each. In reply, English collected 115 losing four wickets in 23 overs. ubel scored 35 while Ani contributed 31 runs. Himel claimed two wickets.
