Ismail Hossain Shiraji, secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit, was beaten up allegedly by JCD cadres on the campus on Friday night. The JCD cadres swooped on Shiraji while he was returning to his dormitory at around 11 pm.

They took Siraji to Kamaluddin Hall room and beat him mercilessly.

BCL submitted a memorandum to Vice-Chancellor (VC) Jasimuddin Ahmad demanding exemplary punishment to those involved.
