Jamaat calls hartal in Comilla today

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami called a daylong hartal in the district today protesting the arrest of its six leaders and activists including city nayeb-e-ameer Aminul Haq.
Jamaat city ameer Kazi Din Mohammad announced the shutdown programme yesterday noon.
Earlier, 10 people, including two cops, were injured in a clash between police and Jamaat-Shibir men in Kashemul Ulum Madrasa area in the city yesterday morning.
Police fired 21 bullets and lobbed tear gas shells to disperse a Jamaat-Shibir procession and arrested six from the spot.
