Raj Kapoor -- a stalwart of Indian Cinema -- first appeared in films at the age of eleven, in Inquilab (1935). In 1948, at the age of only twenty-four, he established his studio, RK Films, and became the youngest film director of his time with the film “Aag” starring himself, Nargis, Kamini Kaushal and Premnath. He launched the careers of a number of Bollywood stars, including Dimple Kapadia, Mandakini, and his sons Rishi, Randhir and Rajiv.
