Ex-CJ Kemaluddin passes away
Former chief justice Kemaluddin Hossain passed away on Wednesday at the age of 90.
Kemaluddin, who had been suffering from old age complications, breathed his last at United Hospital in the capital at 4:55am.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and a host of admirers and friends.
Justice Kemaluddin discharged his duty as the fourth chief justice of the country between February 1, 1978 and April 11, 1982.
His first namaz-e-janaza was held on the Supreme Court premises around 2:30pm, which was attended by judges of the Appellate Division and High Court Division of the Supreme Court, lawyers and educationists.
He will then be buried at Banani graveyard after his second janaza at Gulshan Azad Mosque after Asr prayer, his son Istiaque Hossain told The Daily Star.
