Woman loses leg under train wheels

A middle-aged woman lost one of her legs yesterday as an intercity train ran her over while she was trying to get down at Akkelpur Railway Station in Joypurhat.

The victim, Shefali Rani, 48, is a resident of Aralkhanta village in Naogaon's Patnitola upazila.

Stationmaster Khadiza Begum said Shefali lost her leg and injured the other when she accidentally slipped under the wheel of  Titumir Express from Rajshahi.
