Two kids drown

Two boys drowned in Joypurhat and Faridpur in the last two days.

A three-year-old boy drowned in a pond in Panchbibi upazila of Joypurhat yesterday, reports our Dinajpur correspondent.

The deceased was Biju Roy, son of Kamal Chandra Roy of Samsabad (adivasipara) in the upazila.

Police and family sources said the boy accidentally fell into a pond while playing on its bank.

Family members later rescued him from the pond and rushed him to the upazila health complex, where on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Meanwhile, a kid drowned in a ditch in Kapuria Sodordi area of Bhanga municipality on Wednesday, reports our Faridpur correspondent.

The victim was Ababil Munshi, 2, son of Jakir Munshi of the municipality.
