Cop arrested on charge of torturing wife

A policeman was arrested on charge of torturing his wife at Kashipur in Rampal upazila on Tuesday. The arrested was identified as constable Zillur Rahman. Zillur, who came home on leave from his workplace in Chittagong, was arrested as his father-in-law filed a case against him on July 7 under the Woman and Child Repression Act.

He was sent to jail after the court rejected his bail prayer.
