“Contempt rule sought against HRW,” published on August 21, 2013

Does HRW have any right to interfere in our court? We see the audacity of Brad Adams, the reporter for HRW. In our opinion, the report may be of Adam's personal opinion and if HRW has accepted his report and published it, the HRW also bears the responsibility and liability.

HRW does not exist in the territory of Bangladesh nor is it run under Bangladeshi laws—in other words, HRW is not within the jurisdiction of Bangladeshi courts. Strange and funny that a contempt rule has been issued by the court. If the court has anything to say against HRW report, then it should write to the authorities concerned of the country where HRW is registered.
