Two die as vehicles hit them

Two people were killed in road accidents in the capital early yesterday.

An unknown vehicle hit Mohammad Alauddin while the 70-year-old coconut seller was crossing a road in Shahbagh area, said Abul Hasan, officer-in-charge of Shahbagh Police Station.

In Badda, a man, aged around 45, was hit by another vehicle in Link Road area. He was declared dead at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

His identity could not be known immediately, said police.
