Six people were killed in road accidents in two districts on Saturday and yesterday.

In Mymensingh, two motorcyclists were killed as their vehicle was hit by a bus in Kakni area of Tarakanda upazila yesterday.

Wasim Mia, 60, died on the spot and Rezaul Karim, 35, at a hospital. The bus driver fled the scene.

Similarly, Jewel Mia, 30, son of Nurul Haque, died as a bus hit his motorbike in Kazir Shimla area of Trishal upazila the same day.

Jewel was an employee of Bangladesh Agricultural University, said Trishal police.

In another incident, an auto-rickshaw rammed a motorbike in Balia of Phulpur yesterday, leaving its rider dead.

In Bogra, two battery-run auto-rickshaw passengers were killed as a microbus hit the vehicle from behind on Bogra-Natore highway in Bijoyghat on Saturday.

Ismail Hossain, 53, died instantly and Ferdous Ali, 52, at a hospital.
