Bangladeshi youth killed in South Africa
A Bangladeshi expatriate was shot dead by alleged robbers in Johannesburg of South Africa on August 24.
The deceased was identified as Ismail Hossain, 32, son of Abul Kalam of Nangolkot upazila.
Ismail have been living in South Africa since 2011. He operated an electronics shop at Johannesburg, said his family members.
On Friday, a gang of robbers attacked their shop. Ismail was shot dead on the spot while his father became unconscious, they added.
He had spoken to his mother just before the incident had occurred. Ismail was planning to come home the following month to get married.
“We are processing documents to bring the body back to the country,” said Mamunur Rashid, uncle of the victim.
