BNP patronising religious fanatics, alleges BCL

Ruling party backed student organisation Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) yesterday brought out a procession on the Dhaka University campus protesting the 'planned' terrorist activities of fundamentalist forces.

Later at noon they held a rally at the Aparajeyo Bangla on the campus.

Addressing the rally, BCL leaders blamed main opposition BNP for 'patronising' religious fanatics.

They also urged the student community to be united under their banner to resist fundamentalists and anti-liberation forces in the country.

Presided over by Kazi Ebadat Hossain, the rally was addressed, among others, by Sujit Roy Nandi, Baloram Podder, Ashraful Azim Rubon, Shah Mostofa Alamgir, Sajjad Hossain and AKM Azim.
