BCL protests statement of BNP leaders

Ruling party backed student organisation Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) yesterday brought out a procession on the Dhaka University campus protesting the 'statement' of some BNP leaders who expressed "desire to grab power without election".

Following the procession, BCL held a rally in front of the DUCSU building at noon.

Addressing the rally, BCL leaders criticised the 'present activities of BNP' and vowed to resist any conspiracy against democracy.

Among others, Ajay Kar Khokan, Liakat Sikder, and Sajjad Hossain addressed the rally.

Meanwhile, in a separate statement, Bahadur Bepari and Ajay Kar Khokan, president and general secretary respectively, condemned the recent remarks of BNP leaders, saying that they were trying to distort the history of Liberation War.
