CHITTAGONG, Jan 24: A BCL activist of the Islamia College unit in the city, was shot here this evening, police said.

Manik Das came under attack by the assailants at Sadarghat area at 7 pm today while he was returning home, police added.

He was admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.

The attack was a sequel to an intra-party rivalry, police sources said.

However, tension mounted at Sadarghat area after the incident, sources said. Additional police force was deployed there.
