JS won't be paralysed if 7 BNP MPs leave: Quader
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said the seven BNP lawmakers will regret announcing their resignation from parliament.
"There is no reason to think that the Jatiya Sangsad will be paralysed if the seven of you go," he said while addressing an AL rally at the Radio Colony School and College ground in Savar at 3:30 pm, reports our Jahangirnanar University correspondent.
"BNP has started a picnic party. They have also done this in rallies in different districts. Where does the money come from? We know how much money a businessman, an industrialist has given," Quader told the rally.
Savar Upazila Awami League President Hasina Daula presided over the rally.
Earlier during BNP's divisional rally in Dhaka's Golapbagh field, seven BNP lawmakers announced their resignation from parliament today.
Gulam Mohammad Siraj of Bogura-6 first made the announcement while addressing the rally.
