Mirza Fakhrul hospitalised
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was admitted to United Hospital in Gulshan this afternoon.
He was taken to the High Dependency Unit (HDU) of Cardiology department of the hospital, the party's media cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan told The Daily Star.
Mirza Fakhrul was admitted to the hospital around 12:30pm after he fell sick at the BNP chairperson's Gulshan office.
Fakhrul is under the care of Professor Mominuzzaman, Sayrul added.
The BNP leader was in jail for a month in connection with the December 7 clash between party's activists and police in Nayapaltan last year. He walked out of jail on bail on January 9.
