Head teacher transferred over Bogura school incident
The head teacher of the Bogura Government Girls High School was today made OSD (officer on special duty) and transferred to Dhaka for her alleged involvement in forcing a mother of an eighth grader to touch the feet of a judge.
Rabeya Khatun was transferred to the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education in Dhaka, reports our Bogura correspondent.
The notification was signed by Durga Rani Sikder, assistant director (Secondary-1) of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education.
The assistant director confirmed about the transfer order to our correspondent.
However, Bogura Deputy Commissioner (DC) Saiful Islam said he is yet to receive any official letter on the matter.
"The report on the investigation into the incident is being prepared. Action will be taken if more people are found involved," the DC added.
Rabeya Khatun has been serving as the head teacher of Bogura Govt Girls High School since 2007.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Begum Rubaiya Yeasmin was withdrawn from Bogura on March 23 and attached to the law ministry for forcing the mother to touch her feet.
