Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed conferred honorary fellowship from Oxford

Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed has been conferred an honorary fellowship by the University of Oxford's Wadham College in recognition of his unique contribution to the protection of law, justice, and human rights.

A press release from the Supreme Court of Bangladesh said that it was extremely proud of his rare achievement, adding that it was a glorious moment for the SC as well as the judiciary of Bangladesh.

"This rare international recognition is not only a testament to the personal achievements of the chief justice; rather, it is also a reflection of the respect and dignity that is being shown to the judiciary of Bangladesh at the global level. Undoubtedly, this honour is a sign of the excellence, intellectual strength and international recognition of justice in Bangladesh," said the press release.
