Teen 'stabbed to death' in Manikganj

A 17-year-old boy has died after allegedly being stabbed by miscreants in Manikganj's Singair upazila yesterday night.

The incident occurred last night around 8:30pm near Hanif Danga at Khaserchar canal of Dhalla union of the upazila.

The victim has been identified as Md Rahul Ahmed Khan.

According to police, the victim had got into an argument with some young men from a nearby village over a trivial matter 10 days ago.

Following this, 20 to 25 young men attacked the victim and his friends yesterday with local weapons, killing Rahul on the spot, confirmed Singair Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Toufiq Azam.

"Strong efforts are being made to arrest the killers. Legal action is under process," he said.
