Narcotics case accused shot dead

A man accused in two narcotics cases was shot dead in Kamrangirchar's Muslimbagh area early yesterday.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Ramjan, 43.

Locals found Ramjan around 3:00am in a pool of blood, said Mostafa Anwar, officer-in-charge of Kamrangirchar Police Station.

He said the victim had two bullet wounds, one in the chest and another in the neck.

"His sister said he was previously in jail in a murder case," he said. "Police are yet to identify anyone in connection with the killing."
