Farmer shot dead in Rangamati

A 65-year-old farmer was shot dead at Rangamati's Kaptai last evening.

The deceased was identified as Thoai Aung Marma of Kukimara Marma Para, our Bandarban correspondent reports quoting Rowshon Ara, an assistant superintendent of police (ASP) of Kaptai circle.

"Thoai Aung was a farmer who was shot dead while returning home from work," said the police official.

"No case was filed yet. We are investigating the murder," she added.
