A Dhaka court today postponed the date of deposition hearing to record the testimony of a witness in a case filed against Sefat Ullah, alias "Sefuda", a Bangladeshi expatriate in Austria, under the Digital Security Act.

Dhaka Cyber Tribunal Judge Ash Sams Joglul Hossain postponed the deposition hearing to July 4 as the witness in the case did not appear in the court today, the earlier scheduled date for filing testimony, according to court sources.

The court framed the charges in the case on November 23 last year.

On April 23, 2019, Dhaka Bar Association lawyer Alim Al Razi Jibon filed the case against Sefat Ullah under Sections 25, 29 and 31 of the Digital Security Act with the Dhaka Cyber Tribunal.

The court accepted the plaintiff's statement and directed the counter-terrorism unit of police to investigate and submit a report.
