Actor Shimu killing: Husband, friend confess to court

Murdered actor Raima Islam Shimu's husband Khandaker Shakhawat Alim Nobel and his friend Abdullah Farhad confessed that they both strangulated Shimu to death on January 16.

Nobel and Farhad made confessional statements in separate courts in Dhaka on Thursday and were sent to jail by the courts, officials said.

Both the accused earlier told police that Nobel was the one who killed her and Farhad helped him dump the body.
