89 arrested in Dhaka for selling, consuming drugs: DMP

Dhaka Metropolitan Police have arrested 89 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs in the city.

They were arrested in 24 hours till 6:00am today, according to the media wing of DMP.

During the drive, 8,315 pieces of yaba, 492 grams of heroin, 1.13 kgs of cannabis and 20 bottles of phensidyl were recovered.

A total of 61 cases have been filed under the Narcotics Control Act in this regard.
