13 Indian fishermen detained
Bangladesh Coast Guard members yesterday detained 13 Indian fishermen for illegally entering Bangladeshi waters in the Bay of Bengal.
The law enforcers also seized a trawler they were on during the arrest.
The Indian fishermen were taken aboard Bangladesh Coast Guard's ship "Sonar Bangla," which also towed the seized trawler, says a Coast Guard Headquarters press release.
"A case will be filed against the detainees after they are handed over to the Mongla Police Station," Lt Commander Amirul Haque, media officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters, said in the release.
