Teacher killed in road accident

A primary schoolteacher was killed in a road accident on his way to school in Dinajpur Sadar upazila yesterday.

The deceased is Nur Zaman (52), an assistant teacher of Panchbari Government Primary School. Nur Zaman was heading to the school riding on his bicycle. After arriving at Umarpail village near Dinajpur-Gobindaganj regional highway around 9:00am, a speeding bus hit him from opposite direction, leaving him dead on the spot.

The bus fled from the spot, said police.
